How it works
You post two or three photos of your face, taken with your camera. Other users see them one at a time and give each a rating from 1 to 10. They see neither your username, nor your age, nor your rating. You do not know who rated you.
Your human rating
It appears from five ratings on. Each rater is adjusted to their own strictness before counting: a 7 from a strict rater is not worth a 7 from a generous one. It can be lower than your machine rating. We do not smooth it and we do not hide it.
Two ratings, never mixed
The model rating is instant and stays private: the model leaderboard is switched off for now. The voting rating is slower, and it comes from real people. When the two disagree, that is information.
Rate others, earn a scan
Rating is open from 15. Every 50 ratings judged serious earn you a free scan, as many times as you like. If a batch fails the check, we tell you and you can start again. You can rate up to 60 faces a day.
Your photos
This is the only part of LooksLadder where an image leaves your phone. Posting is open from 16, with a separate consent. Your photos are not published anywhere and are not sold to anyone. They are also used to train our model.
They are kept twelve months at most. You can withdraw everything with one button, no reason needed, and the images are erased immediately. A model that has already been trained cannot be untrained: better to think about it before.
Reporting
Every photo can be reported. It is hidden after three reports, or after the first one if the reason is a minor or nudity.
